Dearest Listeners,

How are you doing? It is good to see your face. Are you taller than you used to be?

Since The Chapter Titles Were So Good has moved “on”, this tumblog has become somewhat less relevant (though no less cherished). Therefore, a new thechaptertitlesweresogood.com has been constructed to be more welcoming to the archival listener. We thought you might like to know this. Do you? Well, regardless, you know it now.

And while we have your attention, if indeed we have it, you may be curious about what The Faculty and Staff of The Chapter Titles Were So Good has been up to since the podcast ended. If so, you may want to peruse at these YouTube channels.

For now, that is all.

Yours posthumously,

The Faculty and Staff of

Big thanks to our patrons past and present!

QUICK NOTE WITH SHORT NOTICE:

In a couple hours we will be attempting to record some kind of listener Q&A. If you have any Qs that you would like us to A, please send them through the usual channels. Please keep in mind that we’ve never done this before so we’re not sure if this will amount to anything worth releasing. Therefore, please don’t be sad if it ends up failing to materialize or if we don’t end up picking your question to dicuss.

That said, please do send your question(s) if you have any!

I have searched the internets in vain for the illustration of which you speak in episode 6.14. I must see it! Might you perchance be able to direct me to its location?

You can always find the US chapter illustrations on the relevant page over at The Harry Potter lexicon!

In case you missed it:

TCTWSG is returning on Sunday!

Check out the special video announcement, above!

We now have a Patreon, if you’d like to support the show! Sincerest thanks to those of you who have done so already.

If you can’t or don’t want to give us any money, that’s okay! Another great way to support the show is to tweet, reblog, or tell a friend. Your word of mouth is the only way to grow our audience!

Dearest Listeners,

Can it be true that already we have concluded our discussion of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix? Yes. Yes, it can. And so, it is time once more for us to take our leave of you. Though it pains us to be parted from your ears for even a single day, we must now enter into a brief slumber, and not until November shall we stumble out of bed, rub the sleep from our eyes, and begin our groggy, disoriented discussion of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

But before we go, a call to action. Remember that our listenership can only grow in size and strength through the kind words of kind mouths. While we slumber, why not take this opportunity to tell a friend about our podcast? Why not post a message on your Tumblr, sharing a favorite episode, or quoting a memorable jest? If you do, please use the tag #TCTWSG, so all can share in the friendship and camaraderie of the tumblosphere.

Thank you, listeners, for your kind support and loyalty. It is the very lifeblood in our podcast’s veins.

Remember our last,

Dearest Listeners,

As Season Five of The Chapter Titles Were So Good draws to a close, the Faculty and Staff are already pondering Season Six. We find ourselves asking the age old question that has stumped philosophers, kings, and philosopher-kings alike: “Should we do one of those Patreon things?” Please take a moment to help us settle the matter by participating in a brief survey.

Unmistakably Yours,

The Faculty and Staff of

Dearest Listeners,

As you will no doubt have gathered from the endless fireworks, champagne bottles, and atmosphere of general wistfulness that currently surrounds you, the year 2013 has drawn to a close. Some may see this as a time to reflect on fond memories; others, to regret a year irretrievably lost to the sands of time. For our part, we have worked ourselves into a tizzy contemplating the turn of the calendar’s page, and our agitation and confusion have begat our most whimsical scripted adventure yet. It came as a surprise to many, and in your festivities you may have missed its appearance, so let this post serve as a polite “re-blog” to draw your attention.

And there is more. Let this writ stand as a formal announcement that The Chapter Titles Were So Good shall return to its regular, weekly schedule beginning the first Sunday of the year–that is to say, January the Fifth. Our discussion of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will be transmitted in 38 weekly installments, and we forsee no interruptions, barring any unforeseen illnesses, disasters, holidays, attacks, scheduling conflicts, personal conflicts, decapitations, or any other various and sundry acts of God. But such circumstances are rare, and we foresee no disruptions. We merely ask, dear listener, that if any such issue should arise, please bear with us. 38 shows is, after all, a whole lot of fucking shows.

A struggle lies ahead for Harry, as he faces the capital-d Dark from within as well as without. We shall join him in his journey, and we hope that you will accompany us. Together we may yet distract one another from the darkness in our own thoughts, and when next you are about to wax indignant to your friends about the unfairness of your life, like an angst-ridden fifteen-year-old, perhaps you will be moved instead to share a kind recommendation for your favorite Harry Potter themed podcast, or even to visit our storefront in the iTunes directory and leave a brief but joyous review.

Onward to Book 5!

Regular Tom at Hogsmeade Station, October 2013.

Sincerely,

The Faculty and Staff of
The Chapter Titles Were So Good
